Venue & Operations Manager

Timespan is seeking a practical, resourceful Venue & Operations Manager to join our museum and cultural organisation in Helmsdale.

You’ll care for our building and public spaces, line-manage our Front of House assistants and help prepare and deliver exhibitions, events and community activities. This is a hands-on role, helping keep Timespan safe, accessible and welcoming.

We’re looking for someone with experience in venue operations, supervising people and coordinating contractors and maintenance. You’ll bring strong practical and organisational skills, a collaborative approach and a commitment to equality, inclusion and respect.

Salary: £16,000 per annum (£32,000 full-time equivalent)
Hours: 20 hours per week, worked across five days on site, with occasional evenings and weekends agreed in advance
Contract: Fixed term until 31 March 2028
Location: Timespan, Helmsdale
