Did you miss the last community consultation about Timespan’s redevelopment? We’ve got you covered with an online session led by our phenomenal Sam on Thursday, 29th from 7-8 pm. During the session, we will review the architects’ initial designs for Timespan’s building, and hear your opinions, inputs, and views on how to make our future organisation better.
The meeting is open to everyone, close and far from Timespan, just join us online by following this link:https://us02web.zoom.us/j/4667135160?pwd=TFNOalVRMWJNN3VSM0lqb1Ixa0tIZz09
Updates from the first Community Consultation
In the first community consultation, held over two days at the end of March, architects from Assemble and Office Corr Higgins, Timespan’s staff and local audiences explored the physical features of the building. Through an open discussion and a variety of activities we asked key questions regarding what we want Timespan to offer our local, national and international community. So far, some of the feedback you have shared with us has asked for better-built facilities, the desire for seating and social areas, improved museum displays, more youth and better green spaces.

The consultation was also supplemented by online and written surveys, and a creative session especially developed for young people. The architects are now incorporating the community’s feedback in their research process to inform the creation of some preliminary designs.
Final Feasibility Study: Fundraising & What’s Next
In mid-summer, we will present the feasibility study final report and begin fundraising to implement the chosen design. Raising funds for transforming Timespan and implement the changes we collectively developed will likely take several years. We will continue to keep you updated about how the fundraiser progresses and when the building will actually start.
