Sea Stories of Hope
Saturday 14 March 2026
From 11am-4pm
Join us for a beach clean and story writing workshop inspired by the sea and its vulnerable ecosystems. This event offers participants a welcoming space to share climate anxieties and to develop new contemporary folk tales inspired by story handling kits, objects from the shore, local archives, and Timespan’s climate book library. The stories will be presented in a handmade book for the People’s Mobile Archive Library as part of The National Year of Reading, and shared and exchanged with other audiences in the Highlands and internationally. This event is recommended for +16 and older.
There will be a follow-up session on Thursday, 19 March, 2-3pm, to develop the stories.
Please book your place as spaces are limited by contacting enquiries@timespan.org.uk
