Timespan is excited to host a day of collaborative zine making inspired by Gaelic places and names connected to the environment and climate change. 

11am-12pm
Introduction to the Glasgow Zine Library

The Glasgow Zine Library introduces its self-publishing library and community space, which features over 3500 zines and an accessible events programme, including the Glasgow Zine Fest. This will finish with a quick round of collaborative zine-making.

12.15pm-1pm
Gaelic Placenames in Kildonan and Loth: Climate, Land & Folklore

The area’s rich Gaelic language heritage is explored through the legacy of placenames and their intrinsic value in contributing to our understanding of climate change, land use change, and colonialism, and the Gaelic folklore that inspires climate justice and community action.


2pm-4.30pm
Discussion and Zine-Making Workshop
 
A brief group-wide discussion of ideas, followed by a zine book-making and sharing session.

6pm-8pm 
Social Dining in the Timespan Cafe (Booking advised)
Join us for a 2-course tapas-style main followed by a selection of petit four
