The Memoirs of Colin MacDonald, a Sutherland Shepherd
Edited by his son, Alexander James MacDonald

And The Shepherd Sang is a personal literary journey that weaves together the author’s vivid experiences and a deep-rooted connection to the land of Sutherland, its people, and its colourful characters. Colin MacDonald offers the reader an intimate portrayal of life on the estate, the rivers, and the moors through a rich tapestry of stories, anecdotes, and historical details. We are thrilled that Alex MacDonald, Colin’s son, who edited and published his father’s book, will be joining us to share stories and anecdotes and do a book signing.
