Saturday 16 May at Timespan | Five events over 1 day!A display of unique objects from Timespan’s gold rush collection and interpretation panels following the story of the Kildonan Gold Rush of 1869. Find out more about Timespan’s new 58° Latitude project as we visit six villages around the globe beginning with the gold rush site near Hoonah in Alaska.

Gold Fever at Timespan | 10am-4pm | Free
Follow in the footsteps of gold prospector Robert Gilchrist who started the Kildonan Gold Rush in 1869. We invite our younger visitors to hunt for gold nuggets and try panning for gold to find a prize!

Sitting on a Gold Mine | 11.30am-12.30pm | Free
Come along and learn more about Timespan’s gold rush collection of objects and archives and how we record in a digital age. Join us on a global gold rush around the 58° Latitude to Hoonah in Alaska.

Kildonan Gold Rush 1869: A gold panner’s story | 2pm-3.30pm | Free
In 1869 gold prosecutors flocked to the far Northeast of Scotland to participate in Scotland’s only gold rush. This illustrated presentation follows the fascinating story and incredible events that transformed an empty landscape into a bustling township of gold!

Quiz Night | 7pm
Get a team together (or join one on the night), get your competitive head on and get ready to quiz!
£5 entry includes supper. Also features a raffle, and a bar for refreshments.
