Our archive is open to the public during Timespan’s opening hours. If our museum has sparked your curiosity about the Highland Clearances, or if our heritage trail has inspired an interest in our historic buildings, our archive is a great place to find out more.
The archive has been designed to allow self-guided access, so please come in and browse the collection. The walls of the room are lined with information folders covering the built, natural and cultural heritage of the area; along with our comprehensive library, this is a good place to start your exploration. Our collection of over 11,000 digital images is available to view on a computer in the archive: please ask our Front of House staff for access. If you’re searching for something more specific, a catalogue of our collection is available on the computer in the archive.
If you require assistance with your research, the archive is regularly staffed on Tuesday afternoons from 2-5pm. You can also make an appointment to see our archivist, or send us your queries, by emailing: email@example.com.
We are currently in the process of developing our archive, to find out more about our exciting plans for the collection please visit our development page.
