  1. late to reply for this workshop – however was wondering if anyone in the community has come across a series of letters from John MacDonald (1736-1822) with the Marchioness of Sutherland regarding a sale and purchase of land to the Sutherland Estate for 5000 Guineas. Believe this is what he used to finance his venture as Merchant. Land could have been around the area of Braegrudie and sold in the late 1750/early 1760 era.

Sir John A MacDonald’s family line.

Thank you for consideration to this item.
