Saturday 4 February 15.30
Join current exhibition artist Caroline Dear for a public talk drawing on her research into traditional skills and techiniques for working with natural materials. She will also talk about how this has influenced her own work where materials such as grasses, reeds, mosses and peat are combined with these traditional techniques to create contemporary creative pieces.
The talk is free to attend and it will be followed by refreshments.
Caroline Dear is an artist based in Skye. A selection of her work is included in Timespan’s current exhibition, A Layered Land, bringing together the work of two regional artists made in response to the peatlands of Scotland’s Far North.
